Guernsey has often been described as the Channel Island paradise for Gourmets. Hotel de Havelet is home to two of the most popular St. Peter Port Guernsey restaurants: The Wellington Boot Restaurant and The Havelet Grill both located in the hotel's converted coach house.
The name "Wellington Boot" is due to local legend which tells of a liaison between Henrietta Le Marchant and the Duke of Wellington, and the Duke arranging for part of the house to be rebuilt before Henrietta is hurriedly married to a Captain de Courncey.
The Wellington Boot Restaurant - Situated on the first floor, this fine Guernsey restaurant has splendid views over the Channel Islands. Hotel guests on half board can select from a superb four course dinner menu. See tonight's menu here »
